Convert gates and clocks in to an analogue voltage. The module has eight inputs, each representing a single bit of a byte. The byte is output as a voltage, for instance a high input in to the top input jack equals 1000000 equals 128 in decimal. 128/255 equals 50% equals 2.5V from the unipolar (0-5V) output and 0V from the bipolar (-+5V) output.
The module utilises discrete logic, not a microprocessor in sight. This enables it to run as fast as you can possibly push it – easily reaching audio rate and beyond.
